NZ GLOBALG.A.P. Working Group
Name Change
We have simplified the name of the New Zealand National Technical Working Group to “New Zealand GLOBALG.A.P. Working Group”. The new name will make it more understandable and accessible for everybody here in New Zealand.
The formal New Zealand GLOBALG.A.P. National Technical Working Group name will be retained for communications with GLOBAL.G.A.P.
Think Global, Act Local
The New Zealand GLOBALG.A.P. National Technical Working Group (NZ NTWG), officially launched in 2017 and was established to interpret the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) GLOBALG.A.P. Crops standards at a local level, here in New Zealand.
The Working Group works to identify specific local translations with legislation, systems and implementation challenges of the GLOBALG.A.P. standard for developing relevant guidelines in New Zealand. The annual workplan is set to support both the certification bodies and fruit and vegetable producers to implement the GLOBALG.A.P. Control Points and Compliance Criteria at a national level.
GLOBALG.A.P. certification opens up export market opportunities in Europe and across the world for producers in New Zealand.
