The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 comes into effect by 31 March 2026. The Act requires us to review our constitution to ensure it is compliant prior to registration under the new Act.
About the HortNZ Board
HortNZ’s Board has nine directors: seven are elected by growers and two independents are appointed by the Board.
The HortNZ Board brings a mix of experience, knowledge and insight to the table -- including skills in finance, biosecurity and risk management, science and innovation, Te Ao Māori, education and governance.
The HortNZ Board meets six times a year in Wellington and around New Zealand’s growing areas and holds in-between meetings via zoom.
