Codes of Practice

Industry Environmental Codes of Practice

HortNZ’s industry environmental Codes of Practice are being reviewed and updated to reflect the latest research, practices and decision-support tools. The codes of practice are aimed at supporting growers to effectively manage nutrient and sediment losses from their operations and meet regulatory compliance.

The updated codes of practice will be available June 2026.

Drafts for consultation

The two codes of practice below are in draft for feedback. We are particularly interested in feedback from growers with these types of operations noted.

Consultation closes 14 June. Please send feedback to ailsa.robertson@hortnz.co.nz
