Horticulture Conference

Each year, HortNZ holds a conference to bring together growers and leading industry figures to celebrate the achievements of the industry, and look to what the future can hold.

The 2021 Horticulture Conference: Resilience and Recovery, to be held on 5-6 August 2021 at Mystery Creek, Hamilton.

In developing this two-day conference, we have focused on the array of challenges and opportunities currently facing our industry in the new, Covid affected world.

A diverse range of speakers will provide perspective from New Zealand and overseas, industry and government.  They will offer insight as our industry looks to 2022 and beyond. Click here to see the list of speakers.

The Young Grower of the Year is an annual competition to find the best young fruit and vegetable grower in New Zealand.  The competition provides exceptional professional development and networking opportunities.

Young growers from around the country compete in regional heats, testing their knowledge and practical horticultural skills.  The winners of the regional competitions then compete in a national final.
