HortNZ Leadership Programme
The HortNZ programme is for emerging potential or current leaders in the fruit and vegetable industry.
2020 highlighted just how volatile and uncertain the world is and highlighted the importance of leadership and the need to support and build leadership skills and confidence. This programme has been designed to do this within our dynamic and growing sector.
Participants will primarily, but not exclusively, be growers or their employees or those from organisations closely associated with growing.
The programme is open to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of any age who have demonstrated a willingness to assume responsibility in grower or industry affairs and have shown definite leadership potential.
It is limited to a maximum of 26 participants, chosen by a selection committee. The committee's decisions are final, but unsuccessful applicants can re-apply for entry to subsequent courses.
HortNZ is offering 20 scholarships that will meet all course fees and accommodation costs. In addition, there will be up to six positions available for a fee of $4,700 +GST (this includes accommodation and catering).
Successful applicants will be called on to meet the travel costs, one trip to and from Lincoln University, Canterbury and one trip to and from Wellington.
