Industry Environmental Codes of Practice
The latest HortNZ environmental Codes of Practices have been updated and published in June 2026.
The Codes provide a practical, risk-based approach to managing nutrient and sediment losses from horticultural operations. They support growers to meet regulatory requirements, including freshwater farm plans and regional council rules. The 2026 updates reflect the latest industry research, knowledge of effective management practices, and decision-support tools.
